Writing and publishing these book pursued me in a way. Journaling was a very healing past time for me throughout my life, as I go older and as I became a parent with my son having a health condition, I actively pursued avenues to gain better communication and a deeper skill set to deal with emotions. As those around me seen the difference in me and my ability to deal with life issues, many asked me how I was able to handle and deal with the situations so well. After having an overwhelming amount of requests, I wrote my first book “Gentle Steps on the Journey of a Healing Heart” the same was true with my second book “Fifty –Two Weeks of Adventure and Discovery”. Both books were inspired to share these techniques I had learned with the world.
What inspired your book?
My Life. After my son was born with a chronic illness, life turned upside down, at that point in my life, I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that accompanies this type of experience, but I was bound and determined to create the best life for me and my family. Both my book are sharing the skills I learned along my journey to empower as many people as possible so they too could experience the joy in life no matter what the situation might be.
How long have you been publishing your work?
I have been publishing my work in books and magazines since 1999, so for 16 years in total. I am now a full time blogger, my blog is the Emotional Surfer.
What is your writing environment like?
I write wherever I can and whenever I can, inside in my office or outside in nature, when the creative inspiration comes I start writing.
What Projects are you currently working on?
At this moment I am immersed in the “Find Joy Book Club & 16 Week Self-Awareness Journey” for my blog Emotional Surfer. This book club is a great opportunity to create a life by choice not by chance. To empower, yourself, your children, your loved ones, and create a life you desire.
