Interview with #author C.A. Jonelle

Why did you pursue writing?

I’ve actually been writing poems since high school and originally wanted to publish a poetry book, but never found the courage to do so. I was in my late twenties when a really close friend of mine, Mel, and I started doing writing prompts. It was then that I started thinking of publishing. I was still scared, but a strong push from Mel kept me going. When I signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) I just went for it; fears and all, with Mel pushing me along the way. I guess you could say she was the big reason for making my dream come true and I thank her big time for that.

What inspired your book?

I love rock music and I love rock band romance novels/novellas. I love the drama, harshness, sex, and the way these rockstars sweep the love of their life off their feet. I tapped into my crazy imagination and set forth into that world. Twisted Epiphany popped in my head one day and I let my mind take me on a wild ride through Zaryk’s world.

How long have you been publishing your work?

This is my first published work at the moment.

What’s your writing environment like?

Noisy and constantly changing. I rarely write when it’s quiet and I can never sit still. I’ll write by tapping out notes on my phone most of the time and those snippets are all over the place. I guess you could say I’m a messy writer; nothing is ever organized.

What projects are you currently working on?

At the moment I’m working on book two in the Twisted Epiphany series; Zayne. He’s the drummer and my favorite of the group. I also have a couple of standalones, a poetry book, and another series I’m working on.
