Amidst his frantic travels through time and space in the effort to fix a dark future, his illness wears him down. He must find and stop a fellow time traveler before it is too late and all is lost. Tired, ill and disheartened, he wonders if he is fighting a losing battle when Heather Higgins is thrust into his path, infusing energy and life into his weary heart.
But time is running out. The answer lies with a gifted university professor from the future, as bizarre as she is brilliant. As Ammon and Heather race through time to unlock the puzzle, they know Ammon’s life and the future of all humankind slip closer to catastrophe with every tick of the clock.

Book Review:
Heather Higgins' life is always filled with surprises. Soon after the death of her father, Heather meets the mysterious and strange Ammon Maharahi. Ammon is sick and Heather wants to help him, but Ammon wants nothing to do with the blonde. He is on a mission to travel in time to stop another fellow time traveler. As the two go on wild and unbelievable adventures in the past and future, Ammon and Heather grow closer together.

The Pauper is an amazingly well-written story that captivates you throughout the book, one adventure after another. Heather Higgins is a smart and enjoyable character who will surprise you at every choice she makes. I enjoy how The Pauper always keeps you guessing at every twist. May Nicole Abbey has really included key elements in this book, adventure, light humor, mystery, and romance. This book is a full five stars and I cannot wait for the fourth book of the series.
